台美交流玩創意 台灣學生越洋視訊美國星巴克點餐
(中央社記者林宏翰洛杉磯2022年08月5日專電)美國加州一所社區大學與台灣學生交流,儘管因疫情採線上方式,但義工發揮創意,拿著手機到美國星巴克,讓台灣學生透過視訊越洋練習用英文點餐。現年20歲的周群凱(Jonathan Chou)是喜瑞都社區大學(Cerritos College)學生,他與其他50多名年齡相近的志工在7月參與了一場暑期英語營,透過視訊與台北市、新北市超過百名中小學生進行數週的密集連線。這些美國高中和大學生用分組方式,與台灣學生上課,主題除了加州生活、美國景點與流行文化之外,周群凱發揮創意,在他的小組內,帶著手機走出課堂,進入美國生活的現實場景,進行了一次「跨越太平洋的點餐」。周群凱在台灣長大,高中之後到美國讀書,他說這次英語營印象最深刻的是,現在台灣學生的主動學習、願意開口討論的風氣,跟自己以往在台灣念國中的經驗很不一樣。他為了讓台灣學生體驗最在地的美國生活,把視訊鏡頭帶到了星巴克咖啡店,讓台灣學生與美國店員直接交談,「跨越太平洋」為他點了一杯飲料。16歲的艾維拉(Karla Avila)受訪說,很高興藉由這次營隊,與台灣學生面對面聊天。她的最大收穫是,台灣學生向她
